Time to drop the hammer at Hains Point again! I gaven't been out there for speed training since last year. It seems like the Whos-Who of Metro D.C. cycling is always out there. There's the peleton of roadies who zip on by. There's the casual recreational riders on fat tires. And there's us triathletes, somewhere in between. We traditionally are there Thursday nights for speed training.
It was my first visit out to Hains Point since The Awakening was relocated. Maybe a new sculpture will make a home at the foot of Hains Point?
I managed to top out a max speed of 22.4 mph, with an average of 18.1 mph for the whole workout. Maybe by the end of summer I can top out at 25 mph, with a 20 mph average?
